I was inspired to train as a Humanist Celebrant after being “blown away” by my daughter Katie's Humanist Wedding in Scotland. Not literally blown away - on this particular day in March it was warm, sunny, with snow on the mountain tops and the ceremony took place in a forest – it was magical.

 

It was like no wedding I had been to before. It was joyful, funny, emotional, creative, beautiful and very memorable. 

 

I now feel very lucky and honoured to be accredited by Humanists UK to help people create their own very special and completely bespoke wedding ceremonies.

Before becoming a Celebrant I was an Airport Director, and surprisingly many of the skills I needed in that role are useful today. These include public speaking, creative thinking and an eye for detail.

​

I am a keen artist, sailor, cyclist, photographer, and I love helping to create bridal bouquets for family and friends. I'm also a Naming Celebrant, celebrating the arrival of new family members.
