Jan Halliday - Wedding Celebrant accredited by Humanists UK
"I now feel very lucky and honoured to be accredited by Humanists UK to help people create their own very special and completely bespoke wedding ceremonies"
I was inspired to train as a Humanist Celebrant after being “blown away” by my daughter Katie's Humanist Wedding in Scotland. Not literally blown away - on this particular day in March it was warm, sunny, with snow on the mountain tops and the ceremony took place in a forest – it was magical.
It was like no wedding I had been to before. It was joyful, funny, emotional, creative, beautiful and very memorable.
I now feel very lucky and honoured to be accredited by Humanists UK to help people create their own very special and completely bespoke wedding ceremonies.
Before becoming a Celebrant I was an Airport Director, and surprisingly many of the skills I needed in that role are useful today. These include public speaking, creative thinking and an eye for detail.
I am a keen artist, sailor, cyclist, photographer, and I love helping to create bridal bouquets for family and friends. I'm also a Naming Celebrant, celebrating the arrival of new family members.
Here are some words that people have used to describe my style as a Humanist Wedding Celebrant:
"joyful – warm – unique – fun – entertaining - personal."
If these are words that resonate with you, please feel free to give me a call to tell me all about your lovely news and your hopes for your special day.
